ABOUT JENNIFER CHESAK
Jennifer is a Nashville-based freelance journalist, editor, and adjunct professor with more than two decades of experience and a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University's Medill.
Her writing has appeared in Washington Post, The Daily Beast, Prevention, Runner’s World, Trail Runner, Women’s Running, Healthline, Greatist, Levels, Real Simple, Parents, Better Homes and Gardens, and more. She also serves on Healthline’s Medical Integrity Team and operates as a fact checker. In addition to editorial work, her cornucopia of clips showcases a robust lineup of content marketing for several global and national brands.
Teaching is also a passion for Jennifer. She is an adjunct instructor at Belmont University, with media studies, copyediting, and nonfiction and technical editing on her roster. In addition to mentoring students in Middle Tennessee State University's certificate in writing program (MTSU Write), Jennifer is also the managing editor of the university’s literary magazine SHIFT. She also enjoys teaching evening and weekend workshops through Nashville's The Porch.
In her free time, Jennifer can be found getting dirty in her garden or running a muddy back trail. In a former life, she was a television reporter in her native state of North Dakota. Uff-da!
